The main bearing lubrication improvement case for high-pressure roller mill of a mining enterprise's mineral processing plant

There are two Chengdu Leejun roller presses (CLM200-160) in the mineral processing workshop of a plant, whose roller bearing lubrication originally used a brand of lubricant, and the refueling method is electric refueling pump for regular refueling. Recently, the roller presses frequently have equipment high temperature alarm problem, resulting in frequent failure of the lubrication system, which seriously affects production.

The manufacturer contacted the U.LUBE team, hoping to solve the problem. After on-site investigation by U.LUBE team, the following problems were found:


High temperature alarm of roller press, frequent failure of lubrication system, equipment cannot be effectively lubricated in time;


Second, there are large amounts of dust, easy to cause pollution to the lubrication system and lubricant;


The site is dusty and the lubrication system is unprotected, easily contaminated by dust, causing system failure; the pumping pressure of the electric pump is relatively low; there are obvious hidden problems in the main bearing oil supply.

Third, improper choice of lubricant;


As for large heavy-duty bearings, it is recommended to choose a grease with higher viscosity base oil and higher welding point, containing anti-pressure additives and solid lubricants with emergency lubrication. 

Lubrication products with 1000-1500cSt base oil viscosity, with adequate extreme pressure wear resistance and Pd value greater than 400kg can meet the lubrication requirements of the main bearing.


Fourth, Oil consumption is large;

    

The site lacks professional technical support for lubrication management, there are misconceptions about the refueling standard, and the amount of lubrication is blindly increased for high-temperature bearings, which eventually leads to unsatisfactory temperature reduction and large oil consumption.


V. The workload of on-site personnel to maintain the equipment is high and the efficiency is low.


For the above roller press equipment lubrication and lubrication management problems, U.LUBE service team suggests to improve the main bearing lubricant and lubrication equipment, using U.LUBE roller press lubricant, and using U.LUBE roller press automatic lubrication system to oil the bearings.

After replacing the bearing grease and lubrication system of the roller press, through regular records, it was found that the bearing temperature before and after lubrication optimization of the equipment dropped significantly, the temperature dropped by about 8℃, the ambient temperature after improvement increased by about 10℃ compared with that before improvement, the cooling water cooling before and after was good, the feeding temperature was balanced, the working pressure and current were stable and consistent; the lubricant dosage of the roller bearing was significantly reduced to 1/3 of the original dosage; the maintenance workload of the site personnel was significantly reduced, effectively reducing the work intensity of the maintenance personnel; the automatic lubrication system of the roller press worked normally, there was no leakage, and the site was clean and tidy;
