Cement rotary kiln wheel belt lubrication improvement solution, reduce grease consumption and ensure stable operation of equipment

Rotary kilns all have their own characteristics or shortcomings in operation. Rolling displacement occurs at the contact surface of the pad and the wheel belt during rotation, and the normal amount of rolling displacement is related to the difference in diameter between the kiln body and the wheel belt, the deformation of the kiln body caused by various reasons, the shaking of the kiln body during operation, and the wear of the pad and the wheel belt. In this condition, if there is no lubrication or poor lubrication between the wheel belt and pad, it will aggravate the abnormal rolling displacement, which will bring various damages such as sharp wear of pad and wheel belt, and increase of operating energy consumption, breakage and fall off of refractory bricks, etc., leading to abnormal shutdown and significant losses to the enterprise.


In this case, due to poor lubrication, the cement plant rotary kiln wheel belt produced lubricant carbon during high temperature, and increased dosage and other problems. This rotary kiln wheel belt lubrication uses an electric pump to spray the wheel belt oil to the wheel belt and pad plate between and the wheel belt and block position, a total of three gear wheel belt. The original oil is a brand of oil, refueling once a week, a refueling amount of more than 10kg, poor lubrication effect is easy to produce carbon.


The U.LUBE team found that the temperature of the cylinder near the second gear wheel belt of rotary kiln is about 340℃, which requires high requirements for the lubricating oil of rotary kiln wheel belt and needs to have good high temperature resistance. The recommended oil is U.LUBE ET RCP 320, a synthetic lubricant rich in graphite solid lubricant, which has good high temperature lubrication performance and can work up to 600℃. It provides fluid lubrication below 200°C and mixed lubrication between 200 and 300°C. Above 300°C, it provides excellent solid lubrication and is suitable for lubricating equipment under high temperature working conditions.


Replace the use of excellent lubrication wheel belt oil for lubrication so far, with high temperature resistance, the oil can effectively penetrate the lubrication parts, and bring graphite powder. It has excellent lubrication performance and good cleanliness, therefore in the high temperature there’s no coking carbon residue. The rotary kiln pad and wheel belt slippage did not change significantly, and no other abnormal wear was seen. The lubrication effect is good, in the case of unchanged refueling cycle, the lubricant dosage is 7kg each time which is significantly lower than the previous oil dosage, to achieve the expected use effect, to meet the rotary kiln working conditions use, to protect the cement production, enterprise cost reduction and efficiency.
